How about you push all the motivational quotes to the side and ask yourself – what would really motivate you?

Motivation… It’s a funny thing.

We all want to feel motivated. Some people strive for it more than others. Some appear to naturally have it, while others seem to never have it.

Or, like the majority of us, life comes with its ups and downs to the point where we find ourselves from time to time bouncing from one end of the spectrum to the other.

Motivation is big business these days. Just look at any number of social media accounts out there churning out daily motivational quotes, with an ever-insatiable audience lapping them up with gusto and you’ll see what I mean.

While these can serve as a nice little perk up on a day when you’re struggling a bit, do they really do you any good for the long term?

The real question you should be asking yourself here is how do I stay consistently motivated? (and the answer is not by reading daily motivational quotes)

The answer is to find something that you are really passionate about. Once you do, you’ll soon discover that real and genuine passion not only feels great to you, it is truly contagious. You can’t fake this stuff.

The next step is to discover how you can channel this passion to help others. This could otherwise be described as identifying your target market.

People love dealing with real and passionate people, and in the services economy, if they see real value they will pay good money for it.

When we think about it, we all have something that we are truly passionate about. The challenge is to harness it and turn this into a business opportunity. Once you reach this point, just imagine how motivated you will feel each and every day.

As the old saying goes “find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”

What really motivates you? I’d love to hear about it. Please let me know in the comments below.
