Storytelling is one of the most powerful and often underutilised tools that we all have available to us in our marketing and communications toolbox.
In our businesses, we all have great stories to tell (yes, we ALL do). Human stories that people can really relate to and engage with. People love to hear stories, especially feel good ones where somebody has brought joy into someone else’s life through a positive transaction.
I’m sure I don’t need to remind you how much the world could do with some good news stories right now.
When people engage with these stories, they are in turn engaging with your business.
And, isn’t engaging new and existing customers what we’re all looking for anyway?
So, why are you not telling these stories on a more regular basis?
Is it because you didn’t have the time? Well, guess what? Now, you do.
Good stories capture peoples’ attention, and uplifting stories can inspire people and uplift them during difficult periods and times of darkness.
Isn’t that a good enough reason to start telling and sharing your stories?
It’s really not that hard, it costs next to nothing and the benefits can be enormous.
All you need to do to get started is think of a topic and begin writing.
It’s a tough time for everyone at the moment, and we all know that a lot of businesses are suffering.
I just think that by implementing an achievable strategy such as writing and posting some really engaging human stories now is only going to have a positive impact on brand equity further down the track.
Give it a try today.
